This “Festival of Lights” is the biggest Hindu Festival, celebrated throughout the country with the message of togetherness, unity and everlasting harmonious relations. This festival is celebrated every year in the Kartik Month of Hindu Calendar that typically falls in the month of October to November.
This festival is celebrated in the remembrance of the home of the coming of Lord Ram after 14 years of exile. It is said that the residents in the dynasty of Lord Ram placed a lighted diya to express their happiness. Together the lights of diya illuminated the city and as a tradition, it is followed since then that every house lit diya on this particular day of Diwali.
